About the event

This webinar will focus on how entrepreneurship programs can support business start-ups to grow and hire additional employees, creating new jobs in regions with limited opportunities. Through projects in partnership with the Vitol Foundation and Kahane Foundation, EFE-Yemen has mentored young entrepreneurs to design resilient businesses, connect them to funding opportunities, and guide them through the government registration process in Aden and Sana’a. This combination of mentoring, financing, and registration support enables youth to avoid common pitfalls in starting their businesses and sets them on a path for success. In this webinar, EFE-Yemen will showcase two young entrepreneurs and their success in launching and expanding businesses, including creating new jobs in their communities. EFE-Yemen’s CEO will also share best practices and lessons learned in EFE’s entrepreneurship programming, and a representative from a local microfinance institution will share advice on securing funding for a new business for youth.
