Nekesa Stephanie Wamalwa, an inspiring leader in Africa, spearheads youth empowerment campaigns. As the head of TrustAfrica’s Africa Youth Panel Initiative, she drives participatory action research across ten African countries, emphasizing meaningful youth engagement and dignified work. Nekesa’s impactful career includes leadership roles at Planned Parenthood Global, Girl Effect, Code for Africa, and UN SDSN Youth. She advises the World Bank’s Solutions for Youth Employment program, advocating for adolescents worldwide. Nekesa holds a Bachelor of Laws from Strathmore University and is pursuing a Master of Science in International Public Policy at Queen Mary University of London. Fluent in English, Swahili, and German, she’s passionate about African literature and outdoor activities.
